Trials are worth pushing when they unlock the next breakpoint on a Tatari you are actually using. They are much less valuable when they only support a side project.
Why trials matter
Trials are one of the cleanest ways the game checks whether you really mean to commit to a line. If a Tatari is core to your account, trial progress is usually worth real attention. If it is not core, those same runs can feel like busywork.
Best trial targets
Trials are easiest to justify on:
- Buddi
- Voltfawn
- Dewgrub
- Punchimp
- Taptail
When to push hard
Push trials harder when:
- the next trial step unlocks a major evolution gain
- the Tatari already appears in your main campaign and mode teams
- your board is strong enough that trial time is not painful
When to wait
Waiting is better when:
- the Tatari is still only a backup
- the trial asks for effort your current team cannot deliver smoothly
- general progression would make the same trial much easier later
The efficient approach
Do not force a difficult trial with an underbuilt board if normal progression will make that same trial easier a little later.
The cleanest rule
If the trial improves a Tatari you use every day, push it. If it only improves a line you might bench next week, hold the effort for later.
